Fashion Friday
Clothes, shoes, and handbags, oh my! Let’s organize it all - and don’t forget the accessories!
Increase the visibility and keep shoes that you wear most often upfront and center. I store my shoes in clear shoe boxes, except for my sneakers 👟 & flip flops 🩴 I like them to be easily accessible, so I can just grab them and go. And at the end of each day when I take off my shoes, they go back in the same exact spot I found them in that morning.
Shop small and when you can, always support small businesses. Boutique shopping is the best for unique and worthy styles! 👗 👠 👛
Cotton T-shirts have fewer wrinkles when they’re fresh out of the dryer. If you store yours in a drawer, because you are not able to hang them this may cause them to wrinkle. To de-wrinkle them, just pop them in the dryer for 5 to 8 minutes on a medium or high setting.
As a small business owner myself, I’ve always tried to support other small businesses. That’s one of the many reasons why I shop at local boutiques. First of all, they have many reasons to make their customers their top priority, all of the time. Their success relies almost entirely on making you happy, so good customer service is usually guaranteed. And second they work and live in your community, so they have a personal interest in connecting with you and making sure you always have a positive experience with them and their business.
Other than when I organize, I like to dress up. I’m not saying I leave my house everyday in a ballgown and full make-up, but I like to look nice. The most apparent benefit of dressing up to me, is the confidence boost I receive. I really believe clothing impacts our performance at work and in life. Studies have shown that the wrong clothes can negatively affect your self-worth. Therefore dressing up is a great self-esteem booster. So just remember, if you look good, you feel good and if you feel good, you will perform even better! 🥰
Who still wears a watch? When I want to know what time ⏰ it is, I feel more comfortable looking at my watch, than my phone 📱 and it’s much easier. A quick glance towards your wrist is definitely a much classier way to keep tabs on time. While pulling your phone out while you’re having a conversation, can be perceived as inconsiderate. Plus, during certain occasions a meeting, funeral, wedding, etc. a watch is a much more subtle and convenient way to check the time.
