After my first career in Fashion Merchandising, I started my first Professional Organizing business Closets by Chicka in 2006 and have never looked back.
I absolutely love what I do and want to share the gift of organizing with you– not only for your home, but for your life, too! That’s why I launched Beyond the Sort in 2021, so I could continue the conversation after the organizing work is done. Organizing is FUN and my #1 Goal is to make it FUN for ALL of you!

Professional Bio:
Christine “Chicka” Shanklin has over 18 years experience as a business owner and Professional Organizer, is a former member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), has previously served 5 years on the Board of Directors of the NAPO-DFW Chapter, is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University with a B.S. in Business and Fashion Merchandising, and is an honored recipient of the Edna Wilkins Teagargen award for excellence in her field.
