Tone-Up Tuesday
Hooray for health, beauty, and exercise tips!
Well-groomed nails make you look instantly polished (pun intended!) and can even make hands appear more youthful. To help strengthen weak or brittle fingernails, try taking a nutritional supplement such as biotin.
Working out with a friend not only keeps you motivated during the sessions themselves, but will also make you less likely to miss a planned session as you're unlikely to want to let down your friend.
Wake up every morning and look at yourself in the mirror. Ignore your newest pimple, the 5 pounds you gained, your crazy hair... Just feel Beautiful! When you feel beautiful on the inside, it will shine through and show on the outside!
Don’t drink sugar calories. Sugary drinks are among the most fattening items you can put into your body. This is because your brain doesn’t measure calories from liquid sugar the same way it does for solid food. Therefore, when you drink soda, you end up eating more total calories. Sugary drinks are strongly associated with obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and many other health problems. Keep in mind that certain fruit juices may be almost as bad as soda in this regard, as they sometimes contain just as much sugar. Their small amounts of antioxidants do not negate the sugar’s harmful effects.
Makeup residue left on your skin can cause many different skin imperfections. It’s very important that you wash your face at the end of every single day, because not doing so can cause extensive damage to your skin during the night. While you sleep your skin renews itself. Leaving on your makeup on can prevent that from happening. Since most cosmetics are made up of oily substances, if they stay on for your skin for more than a day they can cause your pores to clog and lead to the appearance of acne. Plus, it’s very important to let your skin breathe. By washing and moisturizing your face every night, you are allowing the breathing process to happen.
Are you having trouble sticking to an exercise program? Try walking your dog, it’s GREAT Exercise. I have found our dog to be nature’s perfect personal trainer. He’s loyal, energetic, very enthusiastic and he’s a great walking companion. Always motivated to go, even in bad weather. And the best part is, it’s hard to make up an excuse not to go when he looks up with you with his cute little face, you have to say - YES! 🐶
